By day I install banking software, but when not working you will normally find me outside enjoying nature. My passions are biking, hiking and backpacking, camping, and kayaking. I am always up for a new adventure and new places to explore.
Number of years cycling: 5 years (after a break of over 30 years)
Proudest moment on or off the bike: Completing my first century ride at 58 years old. I hadn’t really ever considered riding 100 miles before, but signed up with a friend thinking that if I couldn’t make it I could always get a ride back to the finish with the SAG vehicles. During the ride I hooked up with two other ladies also riding a century for the first time. I think that if we hadn’t connected to keep encouraging each other when it got tough, we may have dropped out. I admit, the last 30 to 40 miles were brutal. There was a strong headwind and at every rest stop I wasn’t sure when I put my feet down my legs would hold me up, but when I crossed the finish line, I didn’t care that there were only a couple other riders behind me. I had finished!
Weirdest post-ride craving: Ice cream (also a during the ride craving)
What is your spirit animal? A golden retriever – a social animal that doesn’t know a stranger and loves to play outside.

Next challenge: I have done weekend rides on portions of the Katy Trail in Missouri, but plan on riding it end to end (237.7 miles) in a 5 or 6 day self-supported bike touring trip either the fall of 2016 or the spring of 2017.
Favorite style in the 2016 Spring line: Oh my, how can I only pick one? My must-have for the spring is the magenta, black and white T-Back from the Revolution collection. I LOVE the new peplum jerseys coming this summer and will have to have the Luminex T-Back for my summer night rides. They are very feminine and stylish and I am anxiously awaiting the Summer collection!
